About Homelandscapes

My blog, Homelandscapes, describes some of my connections with the very special landscapes I have been fortunate to call home—places like Old Faithful in Yellowstone National Park, the village of Joshua Tree in the Mojave Desert of Southern California, and the mixed-grass prairies and badlands of South Dakota.  I hope my writings inspire others to cherish and nurture their own homelandscapes, whether that means an urban backyard, the local nature center, or a working farm.  (Learn more about why I chose the name Homelandscapes.)

Blog posts include writings on natural history, news of current events pertaining to national parks or conservation, and photography from some of America’s most treasured wild lands.  You may find the occasional trip report or book review among my posts, too.
